Why should I choose Soria as my next holiday destination?
Soria is developing into one of Spain’s preferred rural holiday destinations. This is due to its pure clean air, expanse of forests, nature parks and charm of its timeless villages. Soria also has a wealth of walks through its countryside, some of which follow paths dating back to Celt Iberian times. As Soria is the least populated province of Spain, you are guaranteed to be away from the crowds. These are just a few of the many reasons Spanish Footsteps has chosen the province of Soria to base its walking tours.

We are a fully licensed and insured Tour Operator with over 14 years experience. Arranging a holiday for yourself in Spain can be difficult, especially if you do not speak the language. Spanish Footsteps is based in Soria, the province where we offer our tours, therefore we know the places and the people first hand. We have sourced accommodation and restaurants that you will not necessarily find without local knowledge. Many of the places we visit on our guided walks are out of reach of public transport, making accessibility to these places difficult for those not wanting to drive. The majority of information on this regions history, nature and culture is in Spanish, so without one of our self guided information packs or being escorted by us when visiting places of interest you may not be able to fully appreciate all that Soria has to offer. With Spanish Footsteps, everything is arranged so that you can simply enjoy your holiday.

These walks are of an easy level for those with a reasonably good fitness level. Our walks are taken slowly so we can appreciate the sights and sounds of the areas we visit. Of course you may opt out of a days walk and be taken by exclusive transport to the next destination.

What sort of accommodation can I expect?
All accommodation has been carefully selected by us and is as unique as the destination. We use locally owned and operated rural houses and hotels, wherever possible. For example Posadas, which are restored historic buildings that retain their architectural beauty of the past, with todays modern comforts. All accommodation offered is based on a double occupancy room with en suite. You will be asked to confirm your preference for either a twin or double bed. If you are booking a single journey a single supplement will be charged. Most rural accomodation does not have tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryers, mini bars or room service but do give you a real authentic experience of the places we visit.
